At Lakeland Middle School, students are accustomed to working on different task assignments within a given class period. When asked about how their tasks differ, students are quick to point out that, although they may be working with the content in varied ways, they are all focused on the same goals. In Mrs. Wilson's sixth grade math class, Jacob explained, You know, it's like playing soccer.
