Increasingly, students are researching for assignments in the online environment. They are often technologically proficient and capable of navigating and exploring confidently across a range of resources. Finding background or general information is not a challenge for net-savvy students; finding and using scholarly authoritative information and using it intelligently is, however, challenging for many students. Library subscription databases are frequently overlooked by students, often because they lack awareness of and competence in using these resources.
